A brand-new $5-million clubhouse marks the beginning of a new era at GreyHawk Golf Club.
“GreyHawk is the premiere 36-hole golf club in the National Capital Region and this spectacular clubhouse reinforces that reputation,” said ClubLink President and CEO Rai Sahi.
The 17,100-square-foot clubhouse was designed with a Canadiana feel, with the architecture harking back to frontier homes common to the area. The exterior blends log siding, tongue-and-groove siding and tiger-stripe natural stone.
The interior carries the log siding into the slate-floored main entry where members and guests are greeted by a cozy sitting area complete with a fireplace. The interior blends modern style with traditional influences through images, artifacts, rough-hewn beams and candelabras. Inside the bistro, Members and guests can enjoy a change of atmosphere in the Irish-inspired Black Pint Pub or gather outside on the 1,750-square-foot covered patio.
“We consider this an investment in our current and future membership and in the Ottawa golf scene as a whole,” Sahi said.
In conjunction with the opening of the new clubhouse, a multi-faceted membership initiative was announced. Under the special limited-time offer available only until June 4, memberships are available for less than $75 a month, with interest-free financing.
Designed by Paul Takahashi, the 18 holes known as the Predator feature knolls and hollows, bentgrass collection areas, bunkers that extend into fairways, and fescue grasses in the secondary rough.
The Talon, designed by Darrel Huxham, is a diverse parkland style with an undertone of a traditional heathland course. Its combination of tree-lined and open holes is accented by nine lakes, five wetland areas, expressive bunkering, fescue-covered contours, colourful ornamental grasses and several elevated tee complexes.
